The eChallenges e-2006 Conference took place from 25 - 27 October in Barcelona, Spain. eChallenges e-2006 attracted over 640 delegates from 53 countries, representing government (23%), industry (15.5%), high-tech SMEs (13.5%) and research/academic organisations (48%) and Exhibitors from 17 countries.

The eChallenges e-2006 Exhibition showcased research results and applications through technology demonstrations and posters, whether funded commercially, or at national, regional or European level. The Exhibition featured innovative technology demonstrations and posters. Exhibitors were selected on the basis of a competitive Call published in May.

The ERIK Network was represented at the event with a stand and poster display . The posters presented the work carried out by a network as a whole and some detailed examples of good practices collected by the 4 ERIK+ Thematic Working Groups. IST-Africa 2007 Conference and Exhibition
The IST-Africa 2007 Conference & Exhibition takes place 9 - 11 May 2007 in Maputo, Mozambique. Part of the IST-Africa Initiative, which is supported by the European Commission under the IST Programme of Framework Programme 6 (FP6), IST-Africa 2007 is the second in an Annual Conference Series which brings together representatives from leading commercial, government & research organisations across Africa and Europe, to bridge the Digital Divide by sharing knowledge, experience, lessons learnt and good practice.
