“Financing Innovation in European Regions” Jönköping - Småland med öarna (6th – 7th November 2006)
On the 6th and 7th of November 2006, the ERIK+ Study Visit on Innovation Finance was held in Jönköping in the region of Småland med öarna, Sweden. The Study Visit included a half day working entitled “Financing Innovation in European Regions” during which good practices from various European regions were presented leading to a fruitful debate among participants. The second day saw field trips to the Jönköping Science Park, where participants were taken on a tour and presented some of the important activities in the field of business creation and financing, and to one important industrial company in the region. Elmia began in 1961 as a trade fair for agriculture and forestry. Today Elmia arranges around 15 fairs every year within a variety of business areas.
